Men don’t talk face to face, we talk SHOULDER TO SHOULDER.
2:00 PM ET on the third Wednesday of each month
Men’s Shed is a place built for men who want somewhere to go, something to do, and someone to talk to.
Especially men in retirement. Everyone is welcome!
What it is.
A Men’s Shed is a workshop and social club where men gather to build things, learn new skills, and pass on what they know — no pressure, no agenda. Ours is part of an international movement that started in Australia in the 1980s and has grown to thousands of Sheds worldwide.
Who it serves.
Men’s Shed is built primarily for retired and older men navigating the isolation that can come with leaving the workplace, but every Shed welcomes members of all backgrounds and skill levels. Families benefit too, and women have played a key role as founders, volunteers, and leaders across the movement.
What we do.
Members work on projects, big and small, restore and repair, take on community service, or just show up for the coffee and the conversation.
Get involved!
Whether you’re looking to join, visit, or start a Shed of your own, there’s a place to start.
What we do and why it matters.
Most men have learned from our culture not to talk about feelings and emotions, and many don’t take much interest in their own health and well-being. Becoming a member of a Men’s Shed provides a safe, busy environment where men can find both, in an atmosphere of old-fashioned friendship. And, importantly, there’s no pressure. Men can just come and have a chat, or dig in and work on a project.

What our members say about us
And when you retire without a plan for how you’ll spend your days, you can easily start to feel “underfoot” at home, bored, even depressed. It’s a predicament I think a lot of men find themselves in nowadays.
